Two Lighting Zones, One Fixing Line
Why the NLP-6969 exists — and what problem it solves on site
Lighting a wall-ceiling corner properly usually means running two separate profiles side by side, or accepting that only one surface gets the indirect glow. The NLP-6969 was built to remove that trade-off. It's a single 69x69mm aluminium extrusion that carries two complete LED channels in one body — each with its own strip run, its own diffuser lens, and its own wiring path. One channel is oriented to wash the ceiling; the other, the wall directly below the fixing line.
Because the channels are separate from the point of installation onward, they don't have to behave the same way. Run both at the same colour temperature for a unified glow, or split them — a cooler ceiling wash for daytime clarity, a warmer wall accent for evening ambience. The profile body baffles both sources fully, so from any seated or standing position in the room, neither LED strip is ever visible — only the two bands of light they produce.
What the Dual-Channel Body Gives You
Six practical advantages of running two channels from one profile
One Fixing, Two Effects
A single mounting line at the corner produces both a ceiling wash and a wall accent — no need to plan, cut, and fix two separate profiles to get both effects.
Independent Zone Control
Each channel wires to its own driver or controller zone. Dim, switch, or colour-tune the ceiling wash and wall accent completely independently of each other.
Full Source Concealment
Both LED strips sit recessed inside their own channel with a dedicated diffuser lens over each — the body baffles both sources from every normal viewing angle.
Wider Light Spread
The larger 69x69mm body gives each channel more depth than a slim single-channel profile, producing a broader, more even wash on both ceiling and wall.
Straightforward Surface Fixing
Screws or adhesive-fixes directly at the wall-ceiling corner. No cutting into the ceiling structure and no dependency on a plastering trade to complete the job.
Mix Strip Types Freely
Run different strip types in each channel — say, a fixed warm white above and a tunable or RGBWW strip below — since the two runs are electrically separate.
Why Two Channels Beats Two Profiles
Running a ceiling cove and a wall cove as separate profiles means two cut lists, two fixing lines, and two sets of joints to align. The NLP-6969 collapses that into one extrusion with two internal channels — the fixing line is decided once, and both lighting effects follow from it automatically. For contractors, that means fewer measurements to get wrong and a single corner detail to coordinate with the ceiling and wall finishes, instead of two.
Surface Mount by Default, Flush by Choice
Out of the box, the NLP-6969 is designed for surface mounting — it fixes directly onto the wall-ceiling corner with no cutting into either surface. Where the design calls for a fully flush, shadow-gap look, the same profile can be built into a plasterboard reveal and plastered up to the lens line, hiding the extrusion body entirely and leaving only the two glowing bands visible.
Where the NLP-6969 Gets Specified
Projects where a ceiling wash and a wall accent are both needed from one corner
Hotel Rooms & Suites
Perimeter corner run gives the ceiling ambient glow and headboard wall a matching accent from one line.
Living & Family Rooms
Ceiling channel for general ambience, wall channel dimmed low for evening TV-watching light.
Master Bedrooms
Split control lets the ceiling wash stay off at night while a soft wall channel remains on as a night-light.
Boardrooms & Reception
Ceiling wash keeps meetings glare-free while the wall channel highlights branding or feature panels.
Bars & Lounges
Independent zones allow the wall channel to run a colour scene while the ceiling stays a fixed warm white.
Retail Perimeter Walls
Wall channel lifts merchandise on display walls while the ceiling channel handles general store ambience.
Spa & Wellness Corridors
Both channels dimmed together for a calm, shadow-free walking path with no visible fixtures.
Auditoria & Function Halls
Ceiling channel handles wide ambient fill, wall channel marks the room perimeter for wayfinding at low light.

About the NLP-6969's dual-channel design and installation
-
Most cove profiles carry a single LED channel and light in one direction. The NLP-6969 is a larger 69x69mm body built around two separate channels — one aimed at the ceiling, one aimed at the wall — housed in a single corner-mounted extrusion. Each channel is wired and diffused independently, so you get two lighting zones from one fixing point instead of running two separate profiles.
-
Yes. Each channel has its own LED strip run and its own diffuser, so they can be wired to separate drivers or separate zones of a controller. This means the ceiling wash and the wall wash can be set to different brightness levels, different colour temperatures, or switched independently — one on, one off, or both dimmed to different scenes.
-
No. The NLP-6969 is a surface-mount profile — it fixes directly onto the wall-ceiling corner with no cutting, recessing, or plaster work. It can also be built into a plasterboard reveal for a fully flush, shadow-gap finish if that is the preferred architectural detail, but surface mounting is the standard and faster route.
-
The profile body measures 69x69mm — larger than a standard single-channel cove profile because it houses two full LED channels and two diffuser lenses side by side. The extra body depth also means a wider spread of light on both the ceiling and wall surfaces, giving a broader, softer wash than a slim single-channel profile can produce.
-
Any 24V LED strip that fits a standard aluminium profile channel works — single colour white, tunable white (CCT), or RGBWW. A common approach is a warm white strip in the ceiling channel for ambient ceiling wash, and either warm white or a colour-changing strip in the wall channel depending on whether the wall accent is meant to be neutral or a design feature.
-
Choose the NLP-6969 wherever the design calls for both a ceiling glow and a wall accent from the same corner line — hotel rooms, living rooms, boardrooms, and retail perimeters are common cases. If only the ceiling or only the wall needs to be lit, a smaller single-channel corner profile is a lighter, more economical choice.
