Nucleo flexible aluminium profiles solve this at the source. The channel bends to the shape of the surface, holds the LED strip in a fixed, protected position, and a flexible silicone diffuser covers the run so the light reads as a single smooth ribbon. Two models cover the range, from slim edge details to broader cove work.
The idea in one line
Bend the housing to the architecture, not the architecture to the housing. A continuous curve of light looks intentional; a polygon of straight pieces looks like a workaround.

Installation tip
Bend the empty channel to shape against the surface first, fix it at regular intervals, then fit the strip and diffuser. Bending a fully loaded channel risks pulling the strip out of position.
