By varying the power to each channel independently, any colour temperature between the two extremes is achievable from a single strip. Installation Guide
CCT tuneable strip uses a 3-wire connection — the key difference from standard 2-wire strip installation.
🔌 Manual CCT Controller Setup
- Select a CCT controller (rotary, remote, or wall panel) rated for your total strip wattage. A 100W controller handles up to ~7 metres of 14W/m strip at full load.
- Connect the 24V DC driver output to the controller input (+V and –). Use a driver rated at 120% of the total strip wattage (e.g., 100W driver for 80W of strip).
- Connect the three controller output wires to the strip: +V (positive, common to both channels), W1 (warm white channel negative), and W2 (cool white channel negative). Polarity is critical — reversed W1/W2 will invert the warm/cool tuning direction but not damage the strip.
- Mount and adhere the strip as per standard installation practice. Use aluminium profiles for best thermal management and visual quality.
- Power on. Use the controller to sweep from full warm to full cool white — verify smooth transition across the full range with no colour jumps or uneven mixing at any point.
- Set your preferred scene presets on the controller if available. For RF remote controllers, pair the remote per the pairing instructions before programming scenes.
📱 Smart Home / DALI-DT8 Setup
- For smart home integration, select a Zigbee or WiFi CCT driver/controller compatible with your ecosystem (Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, or standalone app).
