Why use a 12-port driver instead of one small transformer per light?
A separate transformer per shelf or drawer light means a separate box, a separate mains tap and a separate point of failure for every fixture — multiplied across a full wardrobe, that's a dozen boxes hidden in a carcass with no room for them. If one port fails, do the other lights go out too?
No. Each of the 12 ports is wired independently from the driver, not looped through a shared bus. A disturbed connection, a shorted fixture or a disconnected plug on one port has no electrical effect on the other 11 — every shelf, rail and drawer light stays lit on its own circuit.
