One Clean Line of Light.
No Dots. No Fade. No Gaps.
The Nucleo 2835 24V strip range is built for the part of a project nobody should notice: the light source itself. Pick the width your profile needs and the density your diffuser needs, and the cove simply glows — end to end.
A Cove Is Only as Good as the Strip Inside It
Clients judge a light line by three things: whether they can see individual LEDs through the diffuser, whether the far end is dimmer than the near end, and whether the colour shifts where two reels meet. All three are decided by the strip, long before the ceiling is painted.
The 2835 SMD chip gives the balance architectural work needs — efficient enough to keep wattage sensible, small enough to pack up to 480 LEDs per metre across multi-line boards. Running it at 24V halves the current compared with 12V, so runs stay bright for longer and cable sizes stay practical.
Nucleo stocks the range across six PCB widths, so the same chip family covers a 3mm slot in a shelf edge, a 10mm hotel corridor cove and a 20mm open-face backlit panel — with matched colour bins across widths.
20 Metres, One Feed, Even Brightness
The Dropless 20m roll (10mm PCB, 120 LED/m, 12W/m, 4000K or 3000K) is designed to hold consistent output across its full length from a single 24V connection. For long hotel corridors, retail perimeters and lobby coves, that means no mid-run injection cables to hide and no visible fall-off at the far end.
Start With the Profile Width
The strip should sit flat on the profile base without touching the side walls. Choose width first — density and wattage follow.
Every Variant in the Range
All strips: 24V DC · SMD 2835 · IP20 · 24–26 lm per LED · CRI 80+. CCT shorthand: 27K = 2700K, 3K = 3000K, 35K = 3500K, 4K = 4000K, 5K = 5000K, 65K = 6500K.

E Series variants carry higher output within the same PCB width — useful when a narrow slot has to deliver the brightness of a wider strip.
Choose Density by Diffuser Depth
The shallower the gap between LED and diffuser, the more LEDs per metre you need for a continuous line.
A Quick Rule for Dot-Free Lines
Deep cove, indirect view (15mm+ gap): 60–120 LED/m. Standard profile with opal diffuser (8–15mm): 120–180 LED/m. Shallow joinery or shelf slot (under 8mm): 180–240 LED/m. Open face, no diffuser: 240–480 LED/m on 2-line or 3-line PCB. When in doubt, go one density step higher and dim down — it is cheaper than re-opening a finished ceiling.
Set the Mood With Colour Temperature
Tunable white and RGBCCT variants let one installation move from warm evening light to crisp daytime white, or into full colour scenes, through a compatible controller.
Built for Specifiers, Easy for Installers
24V for Longer Runs
Lower current than 12V means roughly double the run length per feed and lighter cabling back to the driver.
Six PCB Widths
3mm to 20mm from one chip family, so every profile on a project can use matched strip.
E Series High Output
Higher density and wattage on 8mm and 10mm boards when a narrow slot needs more light.
Dropless 20m Roll
A single feed across 20 metres removes injection points from long continuous coves.
White to RGBCCT
Fixed CCT from 2700K to 6500K, plus tunable white, RGB and RGBCCT options.
Consistent CRI 80+
Colour-binned reels keep adjacent sections matched along long visible runs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Standard 24V strips in this range hold even brightness for roughly 10 metres from a single end feed. Beyond that, feed power from both ends or inject at the midpoint with parallel wiring from the driver. For runs up to 20 metres with a single feed, specify the Dropless 20m roll (10mm PCB, 120 LED/m, 12W/m), which is designed to hold consistent brightness over its full length.
It depends on the gap between the LEDs and the diffuser. With a shallow profile (under about 8mm LED-to-diffuser), use 180–240 LED/m or higher. With a deeper channel of 12–15mm or more and an opal diffuser, 120 LED/m usually produces a continuous line. Open-face applications with no diffuser need 240–480 LED/m on multi-line PCB.
Multiply the strip wattage per metre by the total run length, then add about 20% headroom. For example, 8 metres of a 15W/m strip is 120W; with headroom, a 150W 24V driver is appropriate. Match the driver type to the control method: non-dimmable, triac/0-10V/PWM dimmable, or DALI, and use a CCT or RGB controller for multi-channel strips.
Cut only at the marked cut points printed on the PCB, which sit between copper pads. The cut interval varies by density and PCB, so check the marks on the specific reel. Rejoin with soldered leads for a permanent, low-resistance joint; solderless connectors are acceptable for short, accessible runs but are not recommended inside concealed coves.
Measure the internal base width of the profile and pick the widest strip that sits flat without touching the side walls. 3mm suits ultra-narrow slots, 5mm fits the widest range of recessed and surface profiles, 8mm suits medium and corner profiles, and 10mm fits standard cove and wide recessed channels. 15mm (2-line) and 20mm (3-line) are for wide open channels and backlit panels.
This range is IP20, intended for dry indoor locations such as ceilings, joinery, shelving and wall coves. For wet zones, exterior facades or anywhere exposed to moisture, specify Nucleo IP65 or IP68 waterproof 2835 strips instead.
Single white (2700K to 6500K) suits most residential and commercial coves where the mood is fixed. Tunable white lets the space shift from warm to cool through the day and suits hotel rooms, offices and healthcare. RGBCCT adds full colour plus tunable white from one strip, for bars, restaurants and feature walls that need scene changes.
