Light you can drape, fold and hang like fabric
105 strands of 0.75mm PMMA side glow fiber, woven into a flexible panel. Connect one illuminator and the entire surface glows end to end.
A luminous surface without a single hard fitting
Most lighting is a point or a line. Fiber optic mesh is a surface. Each strand of side glow fiber leaks light along its whole length, and because the strands are woven together, the result reads as one soft, shimmering sheet rather than hundreds of separate sparkles.
That changes what a designer can attempt. A ceiling can hold a rippling canopy. A wall can carry a glowing screen. A lobby can have a suspended cloud that moves with the air. None of this needs rigid housings, brackets for every point of light, or a fitting at each location.
One light source, an entire fabric
The mesh is passive. All strands are gathered at one end and inserted into an illuminator. Light travels down each fibre and escapes along it, so you power one engine rather than wiring a field of fixtures.
Why designers specify Nucleo mesh
Woven, not bundled
105 strands are held in a regular weave, so the glow is even across the panel instead of clumping where fibres overlap.
Full-length side glow
Light emerges along every strand, not only at the tip, which is what produces a continuous glowing surface.
Shapeable in 3D
Fold it into waves, gather it into a cloud, or stretch it flat across a frame. Rigid fittings cannot follow these forms.
Cool and shock-free
Only light travels through the fibre. The fabric stays cool and carries no electrical hazard, even within reach of people.
Cut to your dimensions
Standard panels are available, and custom cut-to-size mesh is supplied for bespoke ceilings, canopies and screens.
Any colour behaviour
Pair with a single colour, RGBW, tunable white or DMX illuminator to match the mood the space needs.
Works with every Nucleo engine
From the compact NLE-18 to the high-output NLE-90, the same mesh connects through a bundled ferrule end.

Choosing the engine
NLE-18 suits small to medium panels. NLE-36 Dual drives two meshes at once. NLE-45 handles larger panels. NLE-5S adds a twinkling shooting-star effect, and NLE-90 is the high-output option for large-format work. Send your mesh size and we will match the engine.
