Light the Ceiling You Left Raw

Novatilt fixes straight onto concrete, plaster or timber. No false ceiling, no cutout. The COB head turns 360° and tilts, so the light goes exactly where the space needs it.

Exposed ceilings need a different kind of spotlight

Lofts, studios, cafés and renovated apartments increasingly leave the slab bare. It looks honest and keeps the height, but it removes the usual place to hide lighting: there is no void for a recessed downlight to sit in.

Novatilt is built for exactly that situation. The base mounts on the surface, and the head does the work of a recessed gimbal: it rotates through 360° and tilts. You fix it once, then aim it, and aim it again whenever the layout changes.

The COB source is a single emitting surface, so the beam lands as one clean pool on a wall, a shelf or a table instead of a cluster of dots.

🏗️

Skip the ceiling work

No false ceiling, no recess, no cutout. That saves carpentry, dust and height. Plan the cable point before finishing, bring it out behind the base plate, and the fixture covers the termination.

What you get with Novatilt

🔄

Full 360° rotation

Turn the head through a full circle to face any direction from the same fixing point.

📐

Tilt on top of rotation

Rotation sets the direction, tilt sets the reach. Together they cover walls, tables and displays.

🧱

Fixes to raw surfaces

Concrete soffits, plastered slabs, brick and timber all take a surface base with the right anchor.

💡

One smooth COB pool

A continuous emitter avoids dotted patterns on plain walls and glossy products.

🛠️

Re-aim without tools on the slab

When furniture or displays move, adjust the head. The base and wiring stay untouched.

🎯

Accent, not general light

Built to place light on a subject, so a few fixtures do the job of many diffuse ones.

🪟

Works on walls too

Mount on a wall to wash a niche, landing or gallery corridor with the same adjustable head.

🎛️

Aim with intent

Point the beam at the subject, not the room. Keep the source out of the sight line from seating, and angle artwork lighting so glass does not reflect back at viewers. Do the final aiming after furniture is in place.

Frequently asked questions

Does Novatilt need a false ceiling or a cutout?
No. Novatilt is surface-mounted. The base is fixed on the face of the ceiling or wall, so there is no recess, no cutout and no ceiling void to build.
What does 360° adjustable mean in practice?
The head turns through a full circle and also tilts. Together they let you point the beam at a wall, a product or a table from almost any mounting position, and change it later without touching the base.
Can it be fixed on bare concrete?
Yes. Use suitable anchors for the slab, mark the fixing points with the base as a template and bring the supply cable out behind the base plate. Raw RCC soffits are one of the main places surface spotlights are used.
Why choose COB instead of a multi-LED spotlight?
A COB source is one continuous emitting surface, so the beam lands as a single clean pool rather than a cluster of dots. This is most noticeable on plain walls and glossy products.
How do I avoid glare when aiming the head?
Tilt the head so the source is not in the direct line of sight from seating or walking positions, and aim artwork or glass from an angle that does not bounce light back at viewers.
How many fixtures does a room need?
Plan by what needs to be lit, not by floor area. Count the walls, displays, tables or features that need an accent, then add one fixture for each. For wattage, beam angle and colour temperature options, contact Nucleo.
Can I mount Novatilt on a wall?
Yes. The surface base works on walls as well as ceilings, and the head can be turned and tilted to wash a niche, a staircase landing or a display.
