Light That Reads the Surface, Not Just Lights It
Point a wide floodlight at a wall and you get brightness. Graze a narrow beam along the same wall at a shallow angle, and you get something else entirely — every joint, every ridge, every bit of texture throws its own tiny shadow, and the wall stops being a flat surface and starts having depth. That's what the NLSW-1616 is built to do. Its 30° beam runs the length of a silicone strip mounted close to the wall, and the effect only works if the light source can sit exactly where the surface needs it — including surfaces that aren't flat at all.
Most wash lighting is built into a rigid aluminium channel, which bends in one direction and stops there. A curved feature wall, a round column, a staircase that turns a corner — all of these break a rigid channel's geometry. The NLSW-1616 is a silicone body instead, and it bends and twists in three dimensions, so a single continuous run can trace the actual shape of the wall rather than being cut into pieces to approximate it.

Why 30° and not wider
A wide beam spreads into the room and washes out the gradient that makes a wall wash look intentional. A 30° beam stays concentrated on the wall face — brighter close to the strip, fading as it travels across the surface. That gradient is the whole effect; a wider angle would flatten it back into ordinary ambient light.
