Most LED profiles announce themselves — a raised channel, a visible edge, a shadow line where the extrusion meets the plaster. The NLP-1722 is built to do the opposite. It's a trimless, plaster-in profile designed to sit fully flush with the finished surface, so that once the ceiling or wall is painted, nothing metallic is left showing. What remains visible is only the diffuser line itself, level with the surrounding plaster, lit or unlit.
Getting there takes depth. At 57.3mm x 22.6mm outside, with a 17.3mm x 15.1mm inner channel, the NLP-1722 has enough room behind the diffuser to house the LED strip, its connectors, and the wiring bend without any of it pressing against the finished ceiling. It's supplied as a complete pair — profile and diffuser together, 40 pieces each per pack — in black or white, so the line reads as continuous and even rather than a row of individual points.
What Sits Behind the Flush Line
In section, the aluminium body is recessed fully into the ceiling cavity — deep enough that the strip, its connectors, and the wiring run all sit clear of the finished surface, with nothing pressing outward against the plaster.
Only the diffuser reaches the surface plane, sitting level with the surrounding finish. The light itself has no visible source — from the room, it reads as a soft, continuous line rather than a fitting.
Why the Channel Needs to Be This Deep
A shallow trimless profile runs into a real problem: strip connectors and solder joints take up more space than the LED strip itself, and a thin channel has nowhere to put them except pressed against the plaster — which either bulges the finish or forces the installer to leave a service gap that defeats the point of going trimless. The NLP-1722's 22.6mm depth and 17.3mm x 15.1mm inner channel solve this directly: there's enough clearance for connectors, joints, and the wiring bend toward the driver, all sitting well clear of the finished surface. At 253g/m, the extrusion is also heavy enough to stay rigid across long runs without sagging inside the ceiling cavity before plastering locks it in place.
