Light the object. Not the eyes.
NLC-3097 sets its COB source deep inside a round recessed body, so the lamp stays out of view and the beam lands on the wall, artwork or merchandise. Rated UGR below 9, with an adjustable head.
Glare is a design flaw, not a lighting level
A room can have the right lux and still feel tiring. The cause is usually a bright source sitting in the line of sight: a bare chip in a shallow trim, reflected in a desk or a glass cabinet. People squint, screens wash out, and the ceiling becomes the thing everyone notices.
NLC-3097 is built to remove that problem at the fitting. The COB source is recessed into the body and set to one side, behind a fine cell structure, so the emitting surface is only visible from a narrow angle below. The aluminium housing carries the heat, and the head can be adjusted to aim the beam once the fitting is in the ceiling.
What UGR below 9 means on site
UGR is the standard scale for discomfort glare, and lower is better. Offices are commonly specified at 19 or under. A fitting rated below 9 is designed to remain comfortable even for people who sit or stand directly beneath it, which is where most recessed spotlights fail.
Built for comfortable, controlled light
Six design decisions that make NLC-3097 easy to live under and easy to specify.
Deep-set COB source
The chip sits well back inside the body, so it is shielded from direct view across most of the room.
UGR below 9
Rated for very low discomfort glare, suitable for workstations, reception desks and seating zones.
Adjustable head
Aim the beam at artwork, shelves or a feature wall after installation, and re-aim it when the layout changes.
Aluminium body
A round aluminium housing with a heat-sink back for stable output and long service life.
Five control routes
Triac, 0-10V, DALI, WiFi or Zigbee, so it fits a simple dimmer or a full smart-building system.
Full CCT range
2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 6000K or smart tuneable white, matched to the mood and function of the space.
One body, three outputs
The fitting is offered in 7W, 12W and 18W. Use the lower wattage for accent and shelf lighting, and the higher ones where the ceiling is taller or the task needs more light on the surface.
Specification at a glance
Beam angle, lumen output, cut-out size and IP rating are not published. Request the dimension sheet before the ceiling is cut.
Where NLC-3097 earns its place
Anywhere people look up, work under the light, or need the beam to stay on the subject.
Open-plan offices
Comfortable over desks and screens, with no bright chip reflecting in monitors.
Retail displays
Aim at product walls and shelves while the fitting itself stays visually quiet.
Art and gallery walls
Accent framed work and sculpture without hot spots in the viewer's eyes.
Living rooms
Layer soft accent light over sofas and feature walls at 2700K or 3000K.
Hotel lobbies
Highlight reception counters and stone cladding with a refined, low-glare finish.
Restaurants and cafés
Pool light on tables while diners look across the room without glare.
Boardrooms
Tuneable white and DALI control support presentations, video calls and discussion.
Showrooms and clinics
Even, comfortable light for display, consultation and waiting areas.
Planning your layout
Pick the control before the fitting
The control option decides the driver supplied with the fitting. Decide on Triac, 0-10V, DALI, WiFi or Zigbee at the design stage so wiring and drivers are matched on the first order.
Space them for the wall, not the floor
For wall and artwork lighting, place fittings a short distance out from the wall and aim the head inward. For general work areas, keep the spacing even so the overlapping pools remove dark patches.
