Seven Profiles. One Clean Line of Light
Empty silicone profiles that turn your LED strip into a seamless glow, from a 12 mm furniture groove to a 50 mm facade outline.
Start With the Channel, Then Pick the Profile
How to choose between seven sizes without guessing
A bare LED strip shows every diode. Put it inside silicone and the dots dissolve into one even line. That is the whole idea behind neon flex, and the only real decisions are how big the profile should be and which way it needs to bend.
Nucleo supplies seven silicone profiles to cover those decisions. Five are top bending rectangles from 12×12 mm to 50×25 mm. One is a 12×20 mm side bending profile for curves in plan view. One is the 22R round profile that glows in all directions.
These are empty profiles. The channel is ready for your own LED strip, so you keep full control of colour temperature, density and control system.
Three questions settle the choice
First, how large is the groove or channel? Second, how far away will the line be seen from? Third, does the run curve up and down, or left and right? Answer those and the right profile is usually obvious.
The Seven Profiles
From fine grooves to building-scale lines
12 × 12 mm
The smallest square. Fits tight ceiling channels, shadow gaps and furniture grooves with a fine, precise line.
TOP BENDING16 × 16 mm
The all-rounder. Suits coves, stair edges, wall reveals and column wraps in homes and offices.
TOP BENDING20 × 14 mm
A wide, low face. Gives a generous band of light where channel depth is limited.
TOP BENDING30 × 20 mm
A larger face that carries across a room. Popular for hotel corridors and commercial coves.
TOP BENDING50 × 25 mm
The largest profile. Reads from long distances on facades, parapets and large feature lines.
TOP BENDING12 × 20 mm
Bends left and right in plan view, so curved counters and arches are easier to follow.
SIDE BENDING22R Round
Circular section that glows in 360°. Right for columns, pendants and letter outlines.
360° EMISSIONTop bending or side bending?
Top bending profiles flex up and down, so they follow ceiling coves and wall undulations. The 12×20 mm side bending profile flexes left and right, so it follows curves drawn on a floor plan. Pick the direction your run actually bends in.
Size Comparison
Dimensions and best use at a glance
| Profile | Size | Bending | Emission | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 × 12 | 12 × 12 mm | Top | Front face | Fine grooves, close range |
| 16 × 16 | 16 × 16 mm | Top | Front face | Residential and general use |
| 20 × 14 | 20 × 14 mm | Top | Front face, wide | Shallow reveals |
| 30 × 20 | 30 × 20 mm | Top | Front face | Hotels and commercial |
| 50 × 25 | 50 × 25 mm | Top | Front face, large | Facades, large features |
| 12 × 20 Side | 12 × 20 mm | Side | Front face, tall | Tight horizontal curves |
| 22R Round | Ø 22 mm | Any axis | 360° | Columns, signage, pendants |
Light seen from every side
A rectangular profile lights one face. The 22R round profile lights all of its surface, so a wrapped column or a letter outline looks like a glowing object rather than a lit panel, with no darker side.
Where Each Size Gets Used

Signage Letters
22R round for full-outline glow.
Curved Counters
12×20 side bending for plan-view curves.
Hotel Lobbies
30×20 for corridors and ballrooms.

Before you order
Check that your LED strip width fits the channel of the profile you choose, plan end caps or sealing for every cut end, and test the strip in a short length of profile first. Our team can confirm fit on request.
Frequently Asked Questions
Selection and installation questions we hear most
No. These are empty silicone profiles with a channel for your own LED strip. Match the strip width to the channel of the size you choose.
Top bending profiles flex up and down, which suits coves and vertical curves. The 12×20 mm side bending profile flexes left and right in plan view, which suits curved counters, arches and tight horizontal curves.
Choose by the groove you must fit and the viewing distance. 12×12 and 16×16 suit tight grooves and close range. 20×14 and 30×20 suit coves and corridors. 50×25 suits facades and large features.
Use it when the light is seen from every angle: column wraps, hanging pendants, letter outlines and freestanding decorative features. It emits a full 360° glow.
The silicone body is flexible and weather resistant, so larger sizes are used on facades and exterior perimeters. Confirm that the LED strip you install is rated for the exposure, and seal cut ends properly.
Cut the silicone square with a sharp blade, feed in the LED strip, and fit end caps or seal the end so dust and moisture stay out. Keep bends in the profile's natural direction.
The silicone diffuses the strip into an even line. A high-density strip and a profile with enough depth give the smoothest result.
