Silicone Neon Flex Profiles | 12×12 to 50×25mm | Side Bending | 360° Round | Nucleo India

One Technology. Every Scale.

Silicone neon flex transforms a bare LED strip into a seamless, continuous line of light. The LED strip sits inside a silicone extrusion that diffuses the point light of individual LEDs into an even glow — no hot spots, no visible dots, no harsh shadows. The silicone body is flexible, UV-resistant, and weatherproof, making the same product equally at home in a residential cove reveal and on an exposed exterior facade.

Nucleo supplies seven silicone neon flex profiles covering everything from a 12×12mm compact square for tight ceiling channels all the way to a 50×25mm high-output profile for large-scale architectural work — plus a side-bending variant for tight horizontal curves and a 360° round profile for column wraps and all-direction signage. Every size runs at 24V DC and accepts standard LED strips.

Profile Range

12 × 12 mm
Compact square · Top Bending

12 × 12 mm

Top Bending

The smallest square profile — fits into narrow ceiling channels, shadow-gap reveals, and furniture grooves where larger profiles won't seat cleanly. Produces a fine, precise line of light ideal for close-range accent work.

  • Shadow gap coves
  • Ceiling reveals
  • Furniture edges
  • Stair nosing
16 × 16 mm
Standard square · Top Bending

16 × 16 mm

Top Bending

The most widely used neon flex profile — versatile enough for interior coves, staircase edges, and architectural reveals, while compact enough to fit standard ceiling channel grooves. A reliable all-rounder for most residential and commercial projects.

  • Interior cove lighting
  • Staircase lighting
  • Wall reveals
  • Column wrap
20 × 14 mm
Wide low-profile · Top Bending

20 × 14 mm

Top Bending

A wider, lower-profile rectangle — presents a broader face of light while keeping a reduced height for shallow-channel installations. The wider face produces a more generous light band, visible from greater distances without increasing the channel depth required.

  • Wide ceiling coves
  • Shallow reveals
  • Retail shelf edges
  • Outdoor accents
30 × 20 mm
Medium large · Top Bending

30 × 20 mm

Top Bending

The mid-to-large format — delivers noticeably higher light output than the 16×16mm while remaining manageable in typical architectural cove channels. Popular for hotel corridors, commercial cove lighting, and exterior base-of-wall wash applications where brightness needs to carry across a room or outdoor space.

  • Hotel cove lighting
  • Commercial interiors
  • Exterior wall base
  • Large staircase
50 × 25 mm
Extra large · Top Bending

50 × 25 mm

Top Bending · High Output

The largest standard profile — produces a substantial band of light visible over long distances. Used for large architectural cove channels, exterior building perimeters, signage lettering at significant scale, and applications where the neon flex itself is a visible design element rather than a concealed source.

  • Building facades
  • Large cove channels
  • Exterior signage
  • Architectural feature
12 × 20 mm
Tall narrow · Side Bending

12 × 20 mm Side Bending

Side Bending

A tall, narrow profile optimised to bend easily along its wide axis — making tight horizontal curves and plan-view corners far simpler to execute than with a standard 3D bending profile. The 20mm height presents a taller face of light, creating a more prominent line visible even in bright environments.

  • Tight corner curves
  • Circular plan layouts
  • Curved reception desks
  • Arched openings
22R Round
Ø 22 mm · 360° emission

22R Round 360°

360° Emission

The only profile in the range with a circular cross-section — light radiates outward in a full 360° halo from the tube body. Wherever the neon flex needs to be seen from any angle simultaneously — column wraps, pendant hanging, letter outlines, or standalone decorative features — the round profile is the correct choice.

  • Column wraps
  • Signage letters
  • Pendant features
  • Decorative hanging

Top Bending vs Side Bending — Choosing the Right Flex

Top Bending profiles (all standard rectangular sizes) flex upward and downward — ideal for following ceiling coves, wall curves, and vertical surface undulations. Use these wherever the profile needs to rise and dip along its length. Side Bending (12×20mm) is optimised for tight horizontal curves — the profile bends easily in the plan view, left and right, making it the correct choice for curved reception counters, arched openings, and any layout that curves in the floor plan.

22R Round — Light in Every Direction

All rectangular profiles emit primarily from one face. The 22R Round profile emits in a full 360° circle — wrapping a column means every viewing angle sees an even, continuous glow. For signage letter outlines and decorative hanging features, 360° emission creates a luminous object rather than a lit surface. No face is brighter or darker than any other.

Frequently Asked Questions

Silicone neon flex is a flexible LED light source consisting of an LED strip housed inside a silicone extrusion. The silicone body acts as a diffuser — spreading the light from individual LEDs into a seamless, continuous glow with no visible hot spots or dot patterns. Unlike rigid LED modules or bare strips, silicone neon flex is flexible, weatherproof, and can follow curves, corners, and irregular surfaces to create clean unbroken lines of light.
The right size depends on the channel or reveal it needs to fit, the light output required, and the viewing distance. Smaller profiles (12×12mm, 16×16mm) suit tight recesses, cabinet grooves, and close-range accents where a fine line of light is desired. Medium profiles (20×14mm, 30×20mm) are the most versatile — used in ceiling coves, wall reveals, and staircase edges. Larger profiles (50×25mm) deliver higher output for exterior facades and large-scale architectural coves. For corners and curves, the Side Bending or 3D Bending variants are selected based on the axis of curvature. The 22R Round profile is chosen when the light needs to radiate in all directions simultaneously.
Top Bending neon flex bends upward and downward — following the vertical curves of ceiling coves, wall reveals, and undulating surfaces. All five standard rectangular profiles (12×12mm, 16×16mm, 20×14mm, 30×20mm, 50×25mm) are Top Bending. Side Bending neon flex (12×20mm) bends left and right along its wide axis — making tight horizontal curves and plan-view corners easier to execute with consistent light distribution on the face. Choose Top Bending for coves and vertical curves; choose Side Bending for horizontal curves and arched layouts.
360° means the light radiates outward in all directions simultaneously from the circular cross-section. Unlike rectangular profiles that emit primarily from one face, the 22R Round profile glows in a complete circle — making it ideal for column wraps where the light must be visible from any angle, overhead pendant-style installations, signage letter outlines, and decorative hanging elements where all-round visibility is required.
Yes. Silicone neon flex profiles are inherently weatherproof — the silicone body is UV-resistant, waterproof, and rated IP65 or higher depending on the end caps and connections used. They are commonly installed on exterior building facades, outdoor cove lighting, garden walls, landscape features, and signage exposed to rain and sunlight. The silicone material also remains flexible in low temperatures, which is relevant for northern India installations.
The inner channel of each silicone neon flex profile is sized to accept standard LED strips of the appropriate width. Single-colour (warm white, neutral white, cool white), tunable white (CCT), RGB, and RGBWW LED strips can all be used depending on the application. Nucleo can advise on the correct strip density and wattage for each profile size and application to ensure even, hot-spot-free illumination.
