Novatilt Surface COB Spotlight – Re-Aim Light After Install | Nucleo

The Spotlight That Survives a Layout Change

Fixed downlights are positioned on drawings and then live with those decisions for years. A shelf moves, a painting is rehung, a display table shifts two metres, and the pool of light is suddenly landing on bare floor.

Novatilt separates where the fixture is mounted from where the light goes. The base is fixed to the surface once. The head then rotates through a full circle and tilts, so the beam can be pointed at whatever matters today and re-pointed tomorrow without touching the wiring.

Because it mounts on the surface, it also works where recessed lights cannot: bare RCC slabs, plastered soffits, timber ceilings and walls with no void behind them.

Aiming in Three Moves

Fix the base

Screw the base to the ceiling or wall at the supply point. Cable exits behind the plate.

Rotate the head

Swing the head around the full circle until it faces the target side of the room.

Tilt to the target

Lower or raise the head until the pool of light sits on the product, picture or wall.

◉

One Source, One Clean Pool of Light

COB stands for chip-on-board. Many tiny LED chips share one emitting surface, so the fixture behaves as a single continuous source rather than a cluster of dots. On a white wall or a glossy package this shows up as an evenly filled beam with a clean edge, instead of rings, speckle or a patchy rim.

🏗️

Built for Ceilings Nobody Wants to Cut

Recessed fittings need a false ceiling, a void and a cutout. Novatilt needs only a flat surface and a power point. That makes it the practical option for exposed concrete, heritage buildings, retrofit shops and rented units where the ceiling cannot be altered. Plan the conduit run before finishing so the cable disappears behind the base plate.

Why Specifiers Choose Novatilt

↻

Full-Circle Rotation

The head turns through 360° on the base, so one mounting point can serve every direction in the room.

↗

Tilting Head

Raise or lower the beam from near-vertical to a raking angle for grazing walls or lighting a display from the side.

◉

COB Light Quality

A continuous emitting area gives a smooth, dot-free beam suited to retail and gallery work.

🔩

No Cutout Needed

Fixes directly to concrete, plaster or timber. No false ceiling, no recess, no ceiling void.

🔒

Holds Its Aim

Once positioned, the head stays where it is set. Re-aiming is a deliberate adjustment, not drift.

🧱

Ceiling or Wall

The same base mounts on either surface, which suits niches, landings and corridor walls.

Installation and Specification Questions

Yes, and that is the main reason to choose Novatilt. The base is fixed once while the head rotates 360° and tilts, so the beam can be redirected whenever displays, furniture or artwork move.
No. The base sits on the surface of a ceiling or wall. There is no recess, cutout or ceiling void involved, so it works on RCC slabs, plastered soffits and timber.
A COB source is one continuous emitting area. On a wall or product it throws a single smooth pool of light. Multi-LED fittings can show separate dots, rings or a patchy edge, which is most visible on plain white walls.
Yes. The surface base can be fixed to a wall, and the head still rotates and tilts. Wall mounting suits display niches, staircase landings and gallery corridors.
Chase a conduit into the slab or plaster behind the base, or run a surface conduit painted to match the ceiling. Plan the supply point before finishing so the cable exits behind the base plate.
It is a good fit for accent lighting on framed work. Aim the beam from an angle that avoids reflection on glass, and keep the beam from clipping the frame edge. For beam angle, wattage and colour temperature options, contact Nucleo.
