LED Garden & Landscape Lights
Spike Spotlights · Path Bollards · Step Lights · Pond Lights · Inground Uplighters — Complete Outdoor Garden LED Range
Nucleo LED Garden & Landscape Lights
Landscape lighting does something that no interior lighting can — it transforms a space that doesn't exist in daytime into something beautiful after dark. A garden without lighting closes when the sun sets. A garden with thoughtfully specified LED lighting becomes an entirely different environment: dramatic, peaceful, and visually rich at every hour of the evening.
Six Fixture Types
Each garden lighting application needs the right fixture type — here's the complete Nucleo landscape range.

Six Garden Lighting Techniques
How you use the light matters more than how much light you have. These six techniques define professional landscape lighting.
Uplighting
Spike spotlight or inground uplighter at the base of a tree, angled 45°–60° upward. Illuminates the canopy from below, creating dramatic silhouette and depth. Most powerful technique in landscape lighting.
Wall Grazing
Wall washer fixture placed 200–400mm from a textured wall surface. Light skims the surface at a shallow angle, emphasising every stone, brick, and texture detail that would be invisible under direct light.
Moonlighting
Downlight or floodlight mounted high in a tree canopy, aimed downward. Creates a soft, dappled shadow pattern on the ground below — mimicking the natural appearance of moonlight through leaves.
Silhouetting
Bright light behind a plant or sculpture aimed at a wall, with no front lighting. The subject appears as a dramatic dark silhouette against the lit background — powerful for architectural plants.
Water Reflection
Spotlight aimed at an object above a reflective water feature. Both the object and its reflection in the still water are lit simultaneously — doubling the visual impact from a single fixture.
Path Marking
Low bollard or step lights along a pathway — not to flood the path with light, but to mark the edges and level changes. The path is safe, but the primary visual focus remains on the planting around it.
Choosing the Right Colour Temperature
Colour temperature has the single biggest impact on how garden lighting feels.
2700K
Makes green plants look rich and deep, stone look warm and natural, and timber glow golden. Creates the feeling of candlelight in the garden — intimate, welcoming, and unmistakably luxurious. Best for residential gardens, hotel grounds, and resort landscapes.
4000K
Bright, clear, and visually accurate. Used for entrance gates, parking areas, and security zones where visibility is more important than ambiance. Also used for modern, minimalist gardens where a cooler palette is intended.
RGB
Festival season colour changes (Diwali saffron, Christmas red-green), event decoration, pool and water feature colour effects, and hotel landscape signature lighting. RGB spotlights and pond lights with IR remote or smartphone app control.
Why Choose Nucleo Garden LED?
True IP67/IP68
Tested to IP67 (temporary submersion) for ground-level fixtures and IP68 (permanent submersion) for pond lights — not just labelled IP67 but tested and guaranteed to survive India's monsoon season and garden irrigation systems.
UV-Stabilised Housings
All Nucleo garden fixtures use UV-stabilised polycarbonate or marine-grade aluminium housings — they do not yellow, crack, or fade in India's intense tropical sun over years of outdoor exposure.
12V / 24V Safe
Low-voltage DC means no shock hazard if a cable is accidentally cut by a spade or lawn mower. Safe for households with children and pets. Significantly simpler installation — no electrical permit required for 12V garden lighting.
RGB Options
RGB pond lights, spike spotlights, and bollards available with IR remote or smartphone app control. Change the garden colour for Diwali, festivals, weddings, and events from your phone in seconds.
50,000 Hours
No bulb changes for the life of the garden installation. LED garden lights in continuous operation since 2019 still running at original output — outlasting the halogen MR16 garden spotlights they replaced by 10 to 1.
Complete System
Nucleo supplies not just the fixtures but the complete system — 12V/24V transformers, burial-rated cable, waterproof push-in connectors, and junction boxes — everything needed for a professional installation.

Installation Guide
🌿 12V Garden System Install
- Plan the garden lighting layout — mark each fixture position with a garden stake. Group fixtures into zones by type: uplights on one zone, pathway lights on another. This allows independent switching and dimming by zone.
- Calculate the total wattage per zone. Select a 12V transformer rated at 120% of the zone's total connected wattage. For example, six 5W spike spotlights = 30W total — select a minimum 36W transformer.
- Route 2-core burial-rated cable (minimum 1.5mm² cross-section) from the transformer location to the first fixture in each zone. Use a 150mm minimum burial depth for all underground cable runs — mark the route with a cable marker tape at 50mm above the cable for future excavation warning.
- At each fixture tap-off point, use waterproof push-in connectors to connect the fixture cable to the main zone cable. Do not use standard domestic chocolate-block connectors outdoors — they corrode and fail within one monsoon season.
- Insert spike spotlights to the required depth and direction. For inground uplighters, excavate the housing recess to the specified depth with 20mm drainage gravel below the housing base — prevents the housing from being pushed up by soil pressure during monsoon waterlogging.
- Connect the transformer input to a weatherproof outdoor socket protected by a dedicated 30mA RCD. Power on each zone and aim spike spotlights at their targets in darkness — final aiming in darkness shows the true effect. Set the transformer's dusk-to-dawn sensor and any timer channels before closing up cable boxes.
🐟 Pond & Water Feature Install
- For pond lighting: select IP68-rated submersible LED lights rated for the pond depth. All cable connections between the submersible light and the 12V cable must use IP68-rated waterproof connectors — never standard connectors near or in water.
- Position pond lights to illuminate the water from within, not from above — underwater lighting creates a glow that transforms the pond surface. For RGB pond lights, position at the pond base angled upward to light the water column from beneath.
- Route the cable from the pond out through the pond liner using a watertight cable gland penetration — do not simply drape cable over the pond edge, as UV and physical wear will damage the insulation rapidly at the lip.
- For fountain or water wall lighting: mount waterproof spotlights in a sealed recess in the water wall face or at the base of the fountain — aim the beam at the falling water column for maximum light refraction and sparkle effect.
- All pond and water feature 12V power supplies must be physically located above the maximum flood level of the pond or feature — a flooded 12V transformer is a fire and shock risk even at low voltage.
- Test all pond lights by operating continuously for 24 hours before completing the garden handover. Check for any water ingress at the cable gland points or connector locations. Any fixture showing signs of internal moisture must be replaced — do not attempt to repair a compromised IP68 fixture.
🌿 The Garden You Never See Until Nightfall
A garden exists in two completely different forms — the daytime garden that you maintain, and the night garden that landscape lighting reveals. They are rarely the same garden. The daytime garden shows its full extent, every plant, every path, every edge. The night garden shows only what the light touches — and that selectivity is what makes it beautiful. The tree that disappears into the green mass of daytime becomes a sculpture at night when one spotlight catches its form from below.
The craft of landscape lighting is the craft of choosing what to reveal and what to let disappear into darkness. A path bollard doesn't light the path — it marks the edge of the path so the darkness beyond it seems even deeper. An uplighter on a mature mango tree doesn't illuminate the garden — it makes that tree the entire garden, at least for the moment you stand beneath it.
Nucleo's garden LED range is designed for that craft — warm, precise, weatherproof, and available in every fixture type a professional landscape designer or thoughtful homeowner needs. Pan India supply, complete system kits, and expert guidance on request.
